Jaymes Young - Come Back For Me


Jaymes Young created a sizable following after releasing his debut project, Dark Star, over a year ago, and it quickly gathered hundreds of thousands of listens and broke Young into semi-popular territory. Then, about five months ago, the Los Angeles-based artist released a new single, “Habits Of My Heart“, which has also done phenomenally well, just recently breaking two million plays on SoundCloud. Now, with momentum on his side, Jaymes Young is back with a brand new single, “Come Back For Me”, taken off his upcoming EP, Habits Of My Heart.
New single Come Back for Me finds him brooding over the memory of a woman who’s no longer in his life. Though the breakup clearly stung, he’s not hoping for her return. The track lies on the darker side of the pop spectrum, with its intensely pulsating synths and massive, infrequent percussion. He croons some passionate, heart-felt verses while slight vocal bits echo around the background, instilling a heated and intense feel. Electric guitar is abundant throughout the piece, and there’s even an explosive guitar solo near the song’s conclusion, and this definitely adds a unique element to his music. Now signed with Atlantic Records, Jaymes Young is well on his way to being a huge name, and if he has more tracks like “Come Back For Me” on his EP, released on September 30th, then we’re sure his momentum will only continue to grow.
