This is just what your Saturday afternoon needs, Tom Misch announces details surrounding his forthcoming EP Reverie, sharing this brand new track Watch Me Dance.

Bringing his brand of neo-soul and jazzy infused hip-hop, Watch Me Dance also showcases Misch' delicately soft & warming vocal. On this particular track the transition to live instruments is mindbuggeling smooth. Just as with any Tom Misch track, the groove is sweet and lush as can be and you still get that unmistakably signature guitar and beat sound that you will be used to by now as Tom Misch fan.

Tom Misch Reverie EP is set for release on July 15th via Beyond The Groove.

This time, WLD has teamed up with singer-songwriter Markus Wetterberg, commonly known as Mawe, who has provided soaring vocals.

The single, which includes a fantastically amazing orchestration was released on digital retailers on January 28th.

Australian trio, RÜFÜS DU SOL, has brought musical delight to our ears once again with the hit track, Innerbloom. Tracks starts with an organ and pad sound that gets detuned in a cool way. You know you've landed in RÜFÜS territory once the beat kicks in and the vocals arrive. Subdued but not emotionless. Marking a slight shift in sound, the fluid release sees the Sydney-based musicians take darker, more somber approach in production, the which is nothing less than graceful.

Londoner Marcus Marr and Aussie Chet Faker are men of many talents and they show them all off in this brilliant, melodic, and bass-laden track called “Birthday Card.” Marcus acts as the man behind the keyboards, bass, guitars, backing vocals, and drum wrangling, while Chet produces the lead vocals, keyboards, and synth bass; thus, resulting in something incredibly sublime. That’s a mouthful for you. I wasn’t lying when I said they were men of many talents. The two lads have come together to share an upcoming record titled “Work.” They have already released their first sneak peek last month with the song “The Trouble with Us.” With “Birthday Card” as their second preview of the EP, listeners can expect a groovy theme throughout—at least that’s what we’ve heard so far within these last two tracks.

At a first glance of “Birthday Card,” there is an avant-garde feel to it. Marr definitely shows off his DJ-ing skills in this track as he keeps it coming with the fast-paced beats. It’s something I can imagine models strutting to on a runway fashion show. It’s upbeat, clean cut, and chic—and although the track is nearly 8 minutes long, I could hardly notice the length of the song because I was too busy enjoying it. Chet’s lingering vocals are totally chill and it contrasts well with the mad beats. Listeners and novice fans can definitely hear a little bit of the groovy undertone in this one. As the track comes to a close, there’s a psychedelic bit that feels very nostalgic to an MGMT song.

Their Work EP is set to release on December 4—just in a mere couple of days! As we await the full release, go on and head over to SoundCloud and Spotify to check out some of their other works.

As one of the most respected producers out there and undoubtedly ranked as a premium beat-maker, Ta-ku has never been shy about just making beautiful music, but till now he’s been a little shy about throwing himself into his work – quite literally.

On the recently released rework of Estelle’s ‘American Boy’, Ta-Ku’s confidence is peaking and he’s added his vocal stylings to the stunning track making this the 2nd time he’s throw down a vocal with Wafia. The track showcases the beautiful and emotive voice that Wafia possesses and re-configures the original song into a very different yet extremely poignant format.

On his Soundcloud page, Ta-ku says “American Girl started as a joke when I was watching old Kobe Bryant highlights and Estelle’s ”American Boy” was the soundtrack. I really wanted to make a stripped back emotional version that would play on its really great melodic structure. I reached out to my lovely friend Wafia to sing a duet with me & mustered enough courage to jump on the first verse. I’m very proud of this song. I hope you enjoy it“.

The prominent refrain in Lorde's vocal on "Magnets," her collaboration with Disclosure from their freshly-released Caracal, is "Let's embrace the point of no return." In the context of the song, it carries a sense of risk and reckless abandon, maybe even romance, but it takes on a whole new meaning in the video for the single.

“She was involved with every aspect of the song as opposed to just doing the lyrics and melodies and then leaving the rest to us,” Guy told SPIN magazine, and it really comes as no surprise – Lorde has already developed quite the reputation for her intricate musicality and passion for songwriting.

“Magnets” is a bona fide pop banger, complimented by a superb chorus, shuffling, tribal-tinged production and sweeping synths.

The storyline follows Lorde's summer affair with a chiseled Hollywood type, from its beginning in fixed poolside gazes to a couple of rough-and-tumble make-out sessions to a fatal end in a chlorine-fueled fire.

Following the lyrics, it seems like she's rather have the relationship end on a more definitive note than have it fizzle out with summer's end, even if that means tying him up, torturing him, drowning him in a pool and then setting the pool on fire.

One of the most anticipated tracks of the year—a collaboration between The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey from The Weeknd's upcoming album, The Beauty Behind the Madness—just landed online. Get ready for the Internet to explode.

Called "Prisoner," it sounds like a Weeknd song and a Lana Del Rey song made drugged-up, dispassionate love and gave birth to a beautiful, tortured child. It definitely skews more towards The Weeknd's trademark narcotic R&B sound rather than LDR's romanticized pop, but the its darkly shaded production suits both artists just fine. As for the lyrics, they each get a chance to address their number one hang-ups: For Del Rey, it's the Faustian contract she signed with Hollywood; and for Abel Tesfaye, it's the inescapable doom of addiction, whether it's to love or other drugs. Listen to the collaboration below.

After being teased in several previews posted on photo-sharing website Instagram in the past few weeks, Lana Del Rey's new song "Honeymoon" is finally out.

The singer posted the song on her YouTube channel along with what looks like previews of its accompanying music video.

The song comes as the first offering from the singer's upcoming album of the same name which is due to come out later this year, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Serving as the title track and the first offering of the singer's upcoming album, "Honeymoon" is a slow tempo, dark and meandering tune that highlights Del Rey's angelic vocals over a symphony of instruments.

Del Rey's album "Honeymoon" is scheduled to come out later this year as a follow up to "Ultraviolence" which debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200 following its release last summer.

Her forthcoming studio effort will also include "Music to Watch Boys to" which according to its music video model Jake Mast will be the record's official lead single. First reported to arrive sometime in June, the song has yet to have a new release date.

I'm pretty excited to be bringing you a premiere of Tom's new remix, which tackles Rae Morris' "Closer." The song marks the impending release of the Closer EP, available October 22nd and ready for pre-order here.

It features a jazzy sound (and clap track), not unlike many of the other tracks produced of recent by Tom Misch. Coupled with Rae's beautiful vocals, the net effect is both easy-going and enjoyable.

If you're keen for more, catch her collab with Fryars, and keep an eye out for her debut album Unguarded, due for release via Atlantic Records in January.

Jaymes Young created a sizable following after releasing his debut project, Dark Star, over a year ago, and it quickly gathered hundreds of thousands of listens and broke Young into semi-popular territory. Then, about five months ago, the Los Angeles-based artist released a new single, “Habits Of My Heart“, which has also done phenomenally well, just recently breaking two million plays on SoundCloud. Now, with momentum on his side, Jaymes Young is back with a brand new single, “Come Back For Me”, taken off his upcoming EP, Habits Of My Heart.

New single Come Back for Me finds him brooding over the memory of a woman who’s no longer in his life. Though the breakup clearly stung, he’s not hoping for her return. The track lies on the darker side of the pop spectrum, with its intensely pulsating synths and massive, infrequent percussion. He croons some passionate, heart-felt verses while slight vocal bits echo around the background, instilling a heated and intense feel. Electric guitar is abundant throughout the piece, and there’s even an explosive guitar solo near the song’s conclusion, and this definitely adds a unique element to his music. Now signed with Atlantic Records, Jaymes Young is well on his way to being a huge name, and if he has more tracks like “Come Back For Me” on his EP, released on September 30th, then we’re sure his momentum will only continue to grow.

Chris Isaak's classic track "Wicked Games" will forever be one of the greatest love ballads. In the past, we've heard some killer remixes and covers with a few of the best ones provided by James Vincent McMorrow and London Grammar.

Recently, English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tom Misch put together a smooth remix of Parra for Cuva's rendition of "Wicked Games." The remix is full of comforting strings that wrap around a tight electronic production.

Now I know that we keep coming back to Tom Misch and his awe-inspiring technical compositions, but it’s for good reasons. This man deserves all the hype in the world. And you know what? Despite being offered a chance to hop on a record label, he decided to make his own. This and many other reasons reflect why Misch is destined to be an extremely influential artist and composer in the jazz/hip-hop scene. One thing that stood out for me was when Misch stated, “I’m a strong believer in not voting on an image particularly, but letting the music be the sole reason people like you as an artist”.

Check it out, embrace the end of the summer, and vibe out with this therapeutic rendition of Wicked Games.

Alt-J have shared the new distorted, ashen rock single, “Every Other Freckle”, from their highly anticipated sophomore album, This Is All Yours. This is the third single we have had the pleasure of hearing-following “Hunger of the Pine” and “Left Hand Free“.
The track is a strange piece of composition, but like every other song Alt-J puts out, it works for them. Playful, abstract lyrics spill out of singer Joe Newman’s roily voice. “I’m gonna’ bend into you like a cat fits into a bean bag,” he sings with suggestive confidence. Tom drums swiftly roll and release. The most aggressive sound on the track—a growling fuzz bass—saws through back-porch acoustic guitar and muffled wordless melodies. “Devour me,” is repeated, tempting to be eaten, “if you really think you can stomach me,” Newman taunts.

What is there to say about this new tune from Say Lou Lou & Lindstrøm that isn’t immediately apparent? Instant classic. 10/10. Let’s. Fucking. Dance. It’s catchy, fun and was made for the dancefloor.
Destined to tear up dance-floors across Europe and beyond this summer, “Games For Girls” is an addictive slice of contemporary electro-disco, delivered with the effortless panache that we have come to expect from twin sisters Miranda and Elektra who formed Say Lou Lou just two years ago. With Lindstrøm at the production helm they have come together to create a joyous dancefloor smash that sits with the very best of the electronic music to have come out of Scandinavia in recent years.
The tune will feature on Say Lou Lou’s debut album ‘Lucid Dreaming’, out in February 2015.

In support of his upcoming album ‘Golden Skies’ out on August 25th, Brainfeeder artist MONO/POLY released the first taste of the album called ‘Ra Rise’. Saying that I’m stoked on the release of this album would be an understatement. I can’t stop listening to this track. The song gleams like a beacon of good music to come. The whole song sounds bright and shimmery with synths that practically glow in the mix. When the lead drops in it sounds so tight that you might think it was squeezed into existence. I love the vocals and strings that lay underneath the track and what gives it that huge bending sound. The beat is unmistakably something from Brainfeeder with its LA beat inspirations, but MONO/POLY puts a big twist on the drum sound. The rhythm sounds like it marches along with the song. It sounds like MONO/POLY is really hitting his stride with his sound, and this is just the first track of a full album on the way.

Long-time studio buddy of Flight Facilities, Falqo – the project created by Australian producer Alexander White – has released his debut single after 5 years of inactivity on Facebook and Twitter! But the wait is worth it, and for disco fans, this is close to perfection. Imagine some sort of lovechild between Daft Punk and Jamiroquai and you’d be getting close to the Falqo vibe.

Occupying the ground between lo-fi pop and hazy disco, ‘Feel Your Love‘ will no doubt gain comparisons to Daft Punk’s earlier ‘Discovery‘ work which is never a bad place to be.

Speaking about the track, Flight Facilities said: “We don’t usually do this, but we’ve waited years to introduce you to our studio friend and neighbour Falqo. We’ve been hearing ‘Feel Your Love’ in our hallway since 2012.

“We’ve been in love with this tune since we first heard it and we reckon he’s destined for big things,” wrote the duo on their Facebook page.

We must be attentive to his upcoming releases. Insurance that will give much to talk about. No doubt.

While only profiling Misun once for their song ‘Coffee‘, I’ve been quiet fan of the DC band ever since. The Parisian label Kitsuné Maison seems to have similar feelings as they are including the band on their upcoming compilation, AMERICA 3. ‘Eli Eli’ is an electro-pop gem, highlighted by the fluidity and groove of Misun Wojcik’s vocal performance.

The label which proudly brought the likes of Hot Chip and Two Door Cinema Club into the spotlight seeks to discover more adept talent stateside on the third addition to its America series. Despite only checking out this, I can safely proclaim America 3 is going to be something you’ll want to own.

After an impeccable week of music discovery, I’ve found picking a track to post today an incredibly difficult task. Although it’s been tough, Say Lou Lou are working on their debut full-length album. The album’s lead single is “Everything We Touch” and its b-side is “Peppermint.” Peppermint dances in the air with a restrained, near haunting melody: gentle percussion and strings and vocals so breathy you can almost feel their warmth on the side of your neck. They consistently deliver exquisite dreams, and quite frankly, a full length album cannot come soon enough.

After that, head over to Strange Matter for lo-fi, folk-rock band Woods. They take folk rock and shimmering, happy pop and turns it into something completely fresh. On their latest album, “With Light And With Love,” the group showcases a more sophisticated brand of contemporary and psychedlic indie-pop music.

From what began as a side project, this Brooklyn collective is quickly intervening approaching its first decade of activity. Their latest single ‘Moving To The Left’ is innocent and youthful, but you can imagine it being just as enjoyable in 10 or 20 years time and that’s why purchasing a Woods album is a wise longterm investment.

Moscow production force DZA returns to the fold with a new solo record, the five-track Big Bang EP -a release which finds Slugabed's Activa Benz label and DZA's own How2Make imprint working together for the first time. Full of glowing sonics, video-game inspired percussion, and a multitude of hybrid club rhythms, DZA's Big Bang EP closes with this remix from fellow Russian tunesmith 813, who reshapes "Fluffernutter" into a more floor-focused affair than DZA's original. On his remix, 813 spends the better part of its first-half in what seems like a never-ending build-up, lacing the track with a steady stream of claps and tuned percussion runs. Finally, around the 1:20 mark, the track takes off with 813's procession of bulbous kicks and snares joined by a welcome flood of bright, melodic synths-all of the which makes this refix fit right at home with the rest of the neon-streaked Big Bang EP.

Love it. To be perfectly honest the chorus is one of the best choruses that I have heard this year. But it doesn’t stop at a good chorus. The production is exquisite and I love the chilled vibe that is emitted by the synths and what I think is a vibraphone. Top class track, definitely one to put on repeat.

Glass Animals are a quirky outfit, experts at guiding their audience through a sensual, groovy, sometimes wild, ride. They are into unicorns and slugs, were once called Afro Pony and remind me of an Alt-J who spend their summers listening to Lionel Richie at "the shed" while sipping on bourbon. Can't wait for ZABA, out June 9.
