MONO/POLY - Ra Rise
In support of his upcoming album ‘Golden Skies’ out on August 25th, Brainfeeder artist MONO/POLY released the first taste of the album called ‘Ra Rise’. Saying that I’m stoked on the release of this album would be an understatement. I can’t stop listening to this track. The song gleams like a beacon of good music to come. The whole song sounds bright and shimmery with synths that practically glow in the mix. When the lead drops in it sounds so tight that you might think it was squeezed into existence. I love the vocals and strings that lay underneath the track and what gives it that huge bending sound. The beat is unmistakably something from Brainfeeder with its LA beat inspirations, but MONO/POLY puts a big twist on the drum sound. The rhythm sounds like it marches along with the song. It sounds like MONO/POLY is really hitting his stride with his sound, and this is just the first track of a full album on the way.
