Stop Kanye West
I hate that it had to come to this, but Kanye West is losing it. We are watching the slow unraveling of a man who is fully realizing the consequences of his actions and it's not pretty.
I mean, look: Dating Kim Kardashian is one thing. Having a child with her and forever being inextricably linked to a group of people who have personified shamelessness, narcissism, greed and vapidity is something entirely different. That he is just coming to terms will all of this is really the best explanation I have for his most recent actions.
However, don’t afraid Kanye, I’m here to help. Some kindly advice:
SHUT UP
We already know this is an ongoing problem for you and we accept it. However, you’ve previously directed your word vomit at people who kind of deserved it, (Taylor Swift, George Bush, the Grammys etc). You know who probably doesn’t deserve your bullshit word vomit? The man who helped catapult your career and to who you devoted an entire song called “Big Brother”. Yeaaah I’m talkin’ Jay.
At a recent concert, Kanye went on a vaguely coherent diatribe where he dissed “Suit and Tie,” Justin Timberlake’s new song that features Jay-Z. Fine, you don’t like the song. It’s not my favorite either–but publicly talking shit about two people you have openly fawned over and who have clearly helped you greatly is a dick move. Even for you.
Is someone perhaps a bit jealous that they don’t get to tour with Daddy Hov this time around?
LOOK UP THE WORD “PRIVACY” IN THE DICTIONARY
And do your best to explain it to Kim because she’s been throwing that word around like she had a damn clue what it means.
Some French magazine just released their latest cover featuring Kim and Kanye in the throws of narcissistic passion.
You know, if Vogue or Vanity Fair asks you to do something like this (although, obviously they wouldn’t because, taste) then, maybe. But this random ass French magazine? Nope nope soap on a rope.
And Kim Kardashian, for someone who loses her shit when people bring up her sex tape, (aka the only reason you have any relevancy at all) IS THIS NOT PERHAPS A BIT HYPOCRITICAL? Girlfriend is simple, we all know that, but Kanye or his people should have put a stop to this.
Let’s put this in perspective: Janet Jackson, who is more famous than both Kanye and Kim, married a billionaire last year and we’re just now hearing about it. It’s not that the whole world is so damn interested in the two of you–you just keep throwing your lives in our faces.
I dunno, maybe they really do love themselves each other, but this is not the way to show it.
MAKE SOME NEW MUSIC
All I can say is that your ass better release some damn good music very soon. At this point, that’s pretty much the only way to make everyone forget about the mockery you’ve been making of yourself. For any other person I’d say to just go ahead and live your life, mistakes and all, but no one cares more about their image and how they’ll be remembered than Kanye West who you also may know as the man who compares himself to Jesus Christ. This ain’t helping.
