Actor and screenwriter Wentworth Miller, best known for his leading role in the Fox television drama Prison Break, came out as a gay man in a letter declining an invitation to attend a Russian film festival in light of Moscow’s recently adopted anti-gay laws. Miller, 41, turned down an offer to attend the St Petersburg International Film Festival as a “guest of honour” in a letter posted on the website of advocacy group GLAAD, which monitors media representation of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people and issues.
With all the speculation, back and forth, rumors, and hopes, Warner Bros has settled on their new Batman and it's none other than Ben Affleck! The actor has been cast as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, Warner Bros.announced on Thursday night. Affleck will star opposite Henry Cavill, who is reprising his role as Superman. In a statement, director Zack Snyder says, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
Tony Parker is enjoying the NBA off-season with his fiancé, Axelle Francine, and the couple recently vacationed in St. Tropez together. The French basketball player, who is a point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, seemed to enjoy his time on the luxurious island, engaging in various watersports.
Paramore is the latest rock band headlining its very own cruise ship festival. Hayley Williams and company confirmed they will be setting out to sea on the Parahoy! cruise, a partnership with the cruise brand Sixthman, from March 7 to 11, 2014. Paramore, Tegan and Sara, and a slew of other acts will depart from Miami on March 7 aboard the Norwegian Pearl, and arrive in a so far undisclosed location in the Caribbean on March 11. According to a press release, the remainder of the lineup will be announced shortly. Concerts will happen across multiple stages throughout the ship, allowing for fan interaction and artist collaborations. Paramore will be hosting activities, as will the other bands, along with Q&A sessions and other activities.
Lady Gaga has blasted her former friend Perez Hilton - accusing him of "stalking" her. The 27-year-old singer took to Twitter to post an angry rant about the "sick" blogger after one of her fans informed her he was being shown around an apartment inside her New York building, and she also claimed he has been "harassing" her. She wrote: "STAY AWAY FROM ME MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME. LEAVE ME ALONE!!! "DO I NEED TO BE SHOT IT IN THE HEAD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HARASSES ME HAS GONE TOO FAR? I'M A HUMAN BEING." However, Perez hit back at the Born This Way hitmaker by posting a 352-word blog post entitled 'A Statement On LadyGaGa's Lies', in which he denied stalking her and insisted he wasn't aware she lived in the same apartment block.
