Former Glee Star Found Dead of Apparent Suicide
Mark Salling, former Glee star was discovered yesterday by police after he hanged himself near his LA home. It’s emerged he may have been dead for some time before his body was found. He was 35.
According to TMZ , he was discovered hanging from a tree near a baseball field by police who had been called to do a 'welfare check' after a family member reported him missing. Coroner's officers were seen removing his body on a stretcher and then loading it into a van this afternoon as news broke worldwide.
Before his death was announced on Tuesday, Salling had been on bail after 50,000 child abuse images were found in his possession. The actor was expected to receive his sentencing in March this year.
Salling, who played Noah 'Puck' Puckerman on the hit Fox show, struck a plea deal in the case in October.
Under the deal, prosecutors agreed that the appropriate sentence for Salling would be four to seven years in prison, with 20 years of supervised release, according to US reports.
