Jakarta Flood 2013

Flood is still inundated dozens of points in DKI Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency noted that at least five people died in the flooding or flood situation since Tuesday (15/01/2013) through Thursday (17/01/2013).

Regional Disaster Management Agency Jakarta said there are 68 points floods in Jakarta. At least 90,582 people affected by the floods. Those are the people affected by the floods which inundated their homes, both in a matter of centimeters and meters. Of these, there were 14,164 people were displaced.

"This is horrible," Yanitha Damayanti, a bank worker stranded in the CBD told the Associated Press. "For the first time in my life, downtown Jakarta has flooded."

It's decades flooding problems unresolved. Severe flooding throughout the city, especially the way the protocol. The intensity of rainfall in an emergency. Factors that cause flooding is thrown away in the Ciliwung River,  low-lying in Jakarta, limited absorption area in Jakarta so the rainwater retained by asphalt road construction.

The last severe flooding in Jakarta was in 2007, when at least 40 people were killed and hundreds of thousands forced from their homes.
