Death Cab For Cutie guitarist and founding member Chris Walla recently announced his departure from the band after 17 years. Chris Walla played his final show with Death Cab For Cutie this weekend at Rifflandia Festival in Victoria, British Columbia.

Walla will appear on Death Cab’s new studio album — the follow-up to 2011’s Codes and Keys — which was completed last month. A release date is set for early 2015.
