Louis Tomlinson might be the biggest popstar on the planet but it looks like he's got a long way to go if he wants to be a top footballer, as the Doncaster native took a battering in a charity testimonial match for Bulgarian footballer Stiliyan Petrov at Celtic Park. The game at Celtic Park in Glasgow was organised to raise money for a foundation set up by former player Stiliyan Petrov, who retired from the game after a year-long battle with leukemia while he was at Barclays Premier League side Aston Villa. His appearance ended prematurely though when he appeared to injure his knee after a shoulder barge from professional player Gabriel Agbonlahor. Clearly not feeling well, Louis asked to be substituted and after returning to the bench, was then seen vomiting on the side-line.
Adam Levine has launched his first men's clothing range with
a major U.S. retailer. Maroon 5 star is following his debut with the release of
fragrance collection, roomates will be rolled out across Kmart stores in
October. Unveiling the line on Wednesday, the star said, "It's great to
see all the tiny things we worked on, all the little details, and finished
close up. "Honestly, I think fashion has a lot to do with when you wake up
that day: a reflection of where you are, who you are and what you're going to
do. I'm not making a fashion statement pretentious, but you have to put
something on, and I'm not wearing a fig leaf. " Levine follows in the footsteps of Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez, who also
have designed ranges for Kmart.
This year The Wanted have been working hard to crack America. Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes have enjoyed success with singles including Glad You Came, but are still struggling to be known as an act. “This is a transition period, where we have to work even harder than we did to try and break the song, to break our name as an actual band,” Nathan told the latest edition of UK magazine Glamour. “At the moment, the song is bigger than us in America and that’s the reality of it.” The group find it frustrating that people are so quick to criticise boybands. Although many people are fans of their music, Nathan claims they won’t admit to liking the group. The Wanted’s hard work is starting to pay off, with Glad You Came reaching number three in the US Billboards chart. The boys realise they will need to sacrifice almost everything else but music if they want to become global stars.
