Recently freed slave, Django (Jamie Foxx), who joins with German
bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), in the business of killing
bad people for money. Schultz recruits Django to help collect the bounty on the
vicious Brittle Brothers - promising to assist the former slave in a quest to
rescue his wife Broomhilda Von Shaft (Kerry Washington) from one of the
wealthiest and most dangerous plantation owners in the deep south, Francophile
Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).
Going into this movie I went in as a neutral. I had seen the
amazing reviews and the fact that it has a rating of 8.7 on here, It was hard
not to get excited, I expected to be bored half way through and lose
interest, this didn't happen, The movie has you engaged at all times, the gun
fights are better than you will see in most action films, there is a very sly
hint of humor which is mostly added by Samuel Jackson, and his performance is
just amazing, personally i feel his performance stands out the most for me.
Makes you feel like "OMG Stephen is so annoying".
DiCaprio, as expected, brings a
captivating blend of charisma and malevolence to slave-owning Candie. He’s a
complicated villain, brought to life by a great performance.
Waltz, steals the entire film
spotlight as Schultz. The character is just as charming with the added benefit
of being on the “right” side of history this time, hunting fugitives and
punishing slave owners.
As for Django himself, Foxx is a
welcome touchstone to Waltz and DiCaprio’s scene-stealing personalities – a
quiet and attentive player that grows in confidence and effectiveness
throughout the events of the plot.
I don't have
anything else to say other than a really good movie that I would recommend to
all who dare looking at some blood.

In a wild and entertaining NBA All-Star Game, the Western Conference used a flash of defense down the stretch and a bunch of scoring throughout to beat the Eastern Conference, 143-138, in Houston Sunday night.
As you can tell by the score, or simply the fact that it is the All-Star Game, there was not a lot of defensive excellence in the Toyota Center for the 2013 rendition, either.
However, there were a host of amazing passes, spectacular handles, alley-oop passes and a bunch of rim-rattling dunks.
Chris Paul had 20 points, 15 assists and won MVP honours, and Durant scored 30 points. Griffin finished with 19, joining his Clippers teammate, Paul, in creating Lob City deep in the heart of Texas.
Durant's 30 led all scorers, but the East's Carmelo Anthony was not far behind.
The Knicks star hit for 26 points, and he did so with just 14 shots. Much like Durant, Anthony had his shot working, but he was not content to settle for jumpers. He was aggressive all game and wound up 7-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Not everybody had it so easy. Chris Bosh opened the 2013 All-Star game with an air ball. Later in the first quarter, he followed it up with this one:

This game had flashes of genius and moments of terrible play, but it was always entertaining. We couldn't hope for much more from this flashy exhibition.

More than 500 people have been injured after a meteor strike in central Russia, the country's interior ministry said.
Fragments of at least one meteorite were seen falling from the morning sky in the Chelyabinsk region at around 9am local time, around 1,500km east of Moscow.
Witnesses described feeling a pressure wave and hearing explosions overhead as the object hurtled to earth. Windows shattered and there were localised power cuts, sparking panic among residents.
The emergencies ministry said that 20,000 rescue workers had been dispatched to help the injured and locate those needing help.
The defence ministry said it had sent soldiers to the sites of impact.
Police urged people to remain calm and asked those who had been injured to call a special hotline.
Russia's Ministry of Interior said more than 500 people had reported injuries, with most requiring treatment for minor cuts and bruises caused by broken glass and damage to buildings. No serious injuries have been reported.
The local office of the National Emergencies Ministry said in a statement: "A meteorite disintegrated above the Urals (mountain range in central Russia), partially burning up in the lower atmosphere.
"Fragments of the meteorite reached Earth, falling in sparsely populated areas in the Chelyabinsk region."
Many drivers in Russia have video recorders fitted in their cars in case of accidents or disputes with traffic police. Footage from these uploaded to YouTube show the fireball crashing to the ground. There were reports of traffic in the Urals city of Chelyabinsk grinding to a halt and people seeking shelter in buildings as the fireballs lit up the sky.
The emergencies ministry confirmed the mobile phone network was temporarily cut.
Schools have been closed for the day across the region after the impact blew out windows.
The Chelyabinsk region is Russia's industrial heartland, home to many factories and other huge facilities that include a nuclear power plant and the Mayak atomic waste storage and treatment centre.
A spokesman for Rosatom, the Russian nuclear energy state corporation, said that its operations remained unaffected.
"All Rosatom enterprises located in the Urals region - including the Mayak complex - are working as normal," said a Rosatom spokesman.
