Who doesn't know Flappy Bird? Created by Dong Nguyen from Vietnam, Flappy Bird is a smartphone game that is popular these days. In this game, you will help the bird to pass through various obstacles shaped pipe by pressing the touch screen of your smartphone. Once crashing then, bam, the game ends.

Seeing references on Twitter from people I don't even know is one thing, but soon I saw my own friends posting about it. And then I was curious and downloaded it. For some people Flappy Bird is evil incarnate - it is Satan, Lucifer, El Diablo, Beelzeboss, Bieber. It is a plague on humankind.

Once you've passed one gap in Flappy Bird, and scored one point, that's the game. There's nothing else to be gained from it. After that it is nothing but a repetition of that first successful act for as long as you can muster.

Flappy Bird is addictive because it taps into humanity's innate stubbornness - "I will not let this game get the better of me!". That's a fair enough reason to keeping playing a game, but only if it is possible for you to get the better of the game. Flappy Bird never offers players any real reward.

This game is able to captivate the hearts of many people, not only because it uses a cute drawing style and the way the game is simple and easy, but also because it can sometimes be difficult and continues to be intriguing. It could also because they want to compete shrewdness yellow bird thick-lipped it with friends.

So, what's your highest score? :D

Update : Nguyen claimed he removed the game due to the amount of criticism and negative press it was receiving. “I am sorry, 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore,” Nguyen tweeted on Saturday. He also denied that he was asked to remove the game. “It is not anything related to legal issues; I just cannot keep it anymore,” he posted on Feb. 8.

Now that 2013 is done, I can’t help but look back on all of the great movies that I got to see last year. I wanted to run down my top 5 movies from 2013! Here we go!!!

1. Gravity

When NASA travellers Sandra Bullock and George Clooney get lost in space, all awe breaks loose. Losing contact with Mission Control, as well as access to their oxygen supply, they are alone together, with time and options running out. An epic of desperate peril and profound wonder, Alfonso Cuar‪ón’s thrilling 3-D drama is a testament to human grit and groundbreaking technical ingenuity. It deserves to be seen once for the wow factor and a second time to try to figure out how Cuar‪ón and his digital savants managed to make the impossible seem so cinematically plausible. No one had dared even to imagine this stuff — like the astounding 13-minute take that opens the movie — yet here it all is, vividly and sumptuously realized. In depicting the fearful, beautiful reality of the space world above our world, Gravity reveals the glory of cinema’s future; it thrills on so many levels. And because Cuar‪ón is a movie visionary of the highest order, you truly can’t beat the view.

2. Despicable Me 2

What’s there to be said about ‘Despicable Me 2?’ It was even funnier than the first. The minions just keep us wanting more, and we can’t get over all of the awesome gadgets that Gru was able to work with. Despicable Me 2 is a funny cute movie that everyone should see at least once in their lives. You can bet we’re excited for even more 'Despicable Me' goodness in the future!

3. Frozen

Disney’s latest adventure, ‘Frozen’ introduced us to their newest princess Anna, who lives in the land of Arendelle. ‘Frozen’ came out at just the right time, as we can easily relate to the chilly temperatures that the characters had to endure. This musical masterpiece will have you and your kids singing for weeks afterward. And its messages of sisterhood and cautions against making rash decisions are positive for kids.

4. The Great Gatsby

While some have taken issue with Baz Luhrmann's interpretation of this American classic, I absolutely loved The Great Gatsby. Leonardo DiCaprio is perfectly cast as Gatsby (as is Carey Mulligan as Daisy), and only Luhrmann's over-the-top style could bring this film about excess to the big screen with this kind of bang. The visuals are remarkable and the soundtrack is sick.

5. Pee Mak

Thai director Banjong Pisanthanaku's Pee Mak Phra Khanong, a rom-com take on a well-known local folk story, redefined the scale of Thailand's movie market in 2013. Being in a foreign language and set in the past, I am sure a lot of the nuances have been lost in translation. However, visual horror and slapstick comedy is universal. While "Pee Mak" is also a horror film, the more commercial and memorable aspect of this film is actually its comedy. The horror takes a back seat to the comedy here. If you want to laugh, watch this movie.

2013 was a HUGE year for the album. Coming back in ways I've never dreamed, I must have heard hundreds songs this year and hardly fell in love with most of them. Some fell flat, as the trend of having one massive single and then ten filler tracks is still fairly common in music, but the albums that I played on repeat in 2013 definitely made up for the so-so releases. Btw this is just random ranked, I like all of their albums. And this is my top 5 albums of 2013 :

1. James Blake - Overgrown

Welcome to the world of James Blake, where soul, jazz, R & B and even gospel fused with dubstep and electronics. World where a little moody and dark will color when listening. World where eclecticism of his music will be performed by full vocal mysterious aura. With Overgrown, James Blake proves once again when he was a young musician who has a vision that gifted and have a compelling concept album. An album "alternative" very decent for listening to.

2. Lorde - Pure Heroin

Who is that Lorde? Suddenly she steal the show through the Royals , a single sticking out everywhere and topped the charts. She specializes in bare-bones grooves stripped down to their minimalist essence and her voice is always front and center. Lorde's success may also be because people are fed up with teen singer who appeared almost similar with cheesy songs but disappeared shortly afterwards . It offers something that is "heavy" in the lyrics and the music , but do not lose the spirit of bubble-gum pop tad.

3. London Grammar - If You Wait

A remarkable debut of delicate beauty from the London trio. It's been tagged as "trip-hop", but this is something deeper and darker. Forget comparisons with the XX or Florence, think about this instead – when did you last hear such a confident debut album? They may split opinion on whether they are the coolest new kids on the block, but one of their charms is that they don’t seem to care what people think and after all, why should they? Everything’s in place – beautiful tunes, wonderful lyrics and their strongest weapon of all, Hannah Reid’s amazing voice. This is deservedly the highest placed debut album on the list, so if you follow that logic, are London Grammar the best new band to emerge in 2013? Of course they are.

4. Disclosure - Settle

The instant-classic hype around brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence‘s full-length debut Settle places it next to Chemical Brothers’ Surrender, Basement Jaxx’s Rooty, and Daft Punk’s Discovery in the pantheon of that rarest of birds, the electronic crossover hit. But where those albums and their canonized kin were confrontations in a rockist world, Settle is cool and calm with no underarm wetness, a cocksure amalgam of 2-step textures, micro-house thrift, and furtively foolproof hooks.

5.The Great Gatsby : Music From Baz Luhrmann's Film

The best movie soundtracks out on 2013, by a mile, even with two duds on the album. This album is what the movie should have been, self-indulgent, fun, yet laced with plenty of emotion. The album's high points come from unexpected places. Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sande, The xx and Fergie contribute very different yet very effective tracks. Many of the songs incorporate jazz into them to help place them in the era the movie is set in. For a soundtrack, they help show the epic variety and spread the musical ground covered without anything really feeling out of place.

“Some people will hate if we try something that we didn’t do on our last three albums. And some people will hate if we do the same thing that we did in our last three albums. What was really important to us wast just being really true to where we are right now as a band and as people. We’ve grown up so much, we like, so much stuff has happened over the last 2 years that was really just about showing people that.” - Hayley Williams

Paramore almost collapsed a year later following the departure of brothers Josh and Zac Farro. Their band line up has changed and we can't expect them to be the same. They're changing and evolving not becoming stale with the same sounding albums every year. They just arrived where it is today because of the sound before, and the fans recognized this and felt the difference. Some fans dissapointed because their style and music changed but the others supported them.

Their songs in this album written by Hayley and Taylor, whereas previously almost all the songs written by Hayley and Josh. The possibility of that is what makes their music has lil bit changed. On this album as proof of Hayley that without the Farro brothers, they were able to rise. The angst, however, has far from dissipated, particularly in Hayley Williams’ lyrics, which are rife with bitter references aimed at the departed duo.

I've heard all the songs on their album and so far my ONLY favorite song is "Still Into You". I don't feel "connected" with their songs yet. Honestly, I don't like their first single "Now". Their song still sounds "so Paramore" but I know they've grown up.

This album is NOT the Paramore that you thought you knew, but a new, more diverse group exploring themselves with new genres and lyrical themes. They've managed to release a fourth record that makes as much of a statement as the first, and have come through the twists down the road stronger than ever. It is a bit poppy, mind.

I hate that it had to come to this, but Kanye West is losing it. We are watching the slow unraveling of a man who is fully realizing the consequences of his actions and it's not pretty.

I mean, look: Dating Kim Kardashian is one thing. Having a child with her and forever being inextricably linked to a group of people who have personified shamelessness, narcissism, greed and vapidity is something entirely different. That he is just coming to terms will all of this is really the best explanation I have for his most recent actions.

However, don’t afraid Kanye, I’m here to help. Some kindly advice:

SHUT UP

We already know this is an ongoing problem for you and we accept it. However, you’ve previously directed your word vomit at people who kind of deserved it, (Taylor Swift, George Bush, the Grammys etc). You know who probably doesn’t deserve your bullshit word vomit? The man who helped catapult your career and to who you devoted an entire song called “Big Brother”. Yeaaah I’m talkin’ Jay.

At a recent concert, Kanye went on a vaguely coherent diatribe where he dissed “Suit and Tie,” Justin Timberlake’s new song that features Jay-Z. Fine, you don’t like the song. It’s not my favorite either–but publicly talking shit about two people you have openly fawned over and who have clearly helped you greatly is a dick move. Even for you.

Is someone perhaps a bit jealous that they don’t get to tour with Daddy Hov this time around?

LOOK UP THE WORD “PRIVACY” IN THE DICTIONARY

And do your best to explain it to Kim because she’s been throwing that word around like she had a damn clue what it means.

Some French magazine just released their latest cover featuring Kim and Kanye in the throws of narcissistic passion.

You know, if Vogue or Vanity Fair asks you to do something like this (although, obviously they wouldn’t because, taste) then, maybe. But this random ass French magazine? Nope nope soap on a rope.

And Kim Kardashian, for someone who loses her shit when people bring up her sex tape, (aka the only reason you have any relevancy at all) IS THIS NOT PERHAPS A BIT HYPOCRITICAL? Girlfriend is simple, we all know that, but Kanye or his people should have put a stop to this.

Let’s put this in perspective: Janet Jackson, who is more famous than both Kanye and Kim, married a billionaire last year and we’re just now hearing about it. It’s not that the whole world is so damn interested in the two of you–you just keep throwing your lives in our faces.

I dunno, maybe they really do love themselves each other, but this is not the way to show it.

MAKE SOME NEW MUSIC

All I can say is that your ass better release some damn good music very soon. At this point, that’s pretty much the only way to make everyone forget about the mockery you’ve been making of yourself. For any other person I’d say to just go ahead and live your life, mistakes and all, but no one cares more about their image and how they’ll be remembered than Kanye West who you also may know as the man who compares himself to Jesus Christ. This ain’t helping.

The indie-pop artist — real name Elizabeth Grant — maintains the 1960s American girl persona she created on Born to Die. I first discovered Lana when I downloaded Summertime Sadness to my iPod for the only reason being that I was dying to get new songs on it. It instantly attracted me to this never-heard-before singer and her gorgeous way of expressing heartbreak. Her way of using words was not only poetic but also deeply touching, and Summertime Sadness my most liked song of hers.

As divided as the public may seem about her, I must confess, I am a fan of the Del Rey. Her music, her style, and her pageant-queen-meets-girl-next-door beauty. The genuine article or not, her music does it for me, it fills that guilty-pleasure pop-music. Not to mention I think that whole self "gangster-Nancy Sinatra" look she has going on is killer. I feel the sheer amount backlash she's been getting since "Video Games" is unjustified, some of the reviews are just downright nasty. Whether or not she is an entirely self-made character or not doesn't affect my enjoyment of her music and her style. It is pop music after all. If she is just playing a character, then so be it, I like the character she plays :)
I also adore the styling in her videos. they're great, and she looks so fab in them!

The biggest problem with Lana Del Rey has nothing to do with the singer herself. The debate has been furious and SNL only poured more gasoline on the fire, but while others talk about authenticity, plastic surgery, and talent (all valid conversations) the real problem in my mind is clear and simple...yet, it's never part of the discussion.

Examples negative comments about her :
- She seems so fake.
- She sounds really really depressed and/or bored.
- She sings like she is drunk.
- Her singing is not my cup of tea, a little too monotone and boring, doesn’t want to make me listen to the lyrics.
- The girl’s got something of a voice to her, and if you can get past all of the weird plastic surgery, there’s potential.
- She's not Tori Amos.
(These are small part what I found on internet)

Okay it's about difference taste of music but not sure how anyone can claim that this woman is untalented. It would be nice if people would listen to the music and make up their own minds rather than bash her based on what people on the internets say.

Everyone has their opinions on the real world views, such as you all, and guess what, people? The American Dream is where you have freedom of speech, where you can promote your music and style any way you want. She's rich and famous, you're not, what is there to hate? I love her music, I love her style. Maybe there's another message being put out there by Lana Del Rey? This is MY opinion and they have THEIR own opinions. Ignorance put aside, Lana Del Rey is talented, she has a good voice and she writes her own lyrics, not to mention she has wrote other peoples lyrics as well.

Lana Del Rey has received more coverage from independent music websites than any other artist in recent memory, all before even releasing an album. This is not a think-piece – we've all done them. This is a simple matter of statistics.

Yes, Lana Del Rey has a team behind her, had plastic surgery to improve her looks, and her ability as a live talent is questionable. Those have all been debated to death. The real question is why did these "independent" music websites dedicate almost double the coverage to Lana Del Rey than they did for the artists that created their favorite albums of the year?

I think we underestimate how crucial image is for an artist. A female artist more importantly. Lana Del Rey had the strongest image in music. Strong images make great memes, memes generate hits...

I find it more damaging to females than anything. She herself changed her looks and met success. I can see how thousands of women will look now for extreme plastic surgery before attempting a music career. Fact. No guys have to go through so much focus on their looks. When she was just cute, nothing, once she became flawless, everything. It's hard to escape that reality. I used to think "indie" meant something, after the whole blog embrace thing I think women are just as fucked in indie as elsewhere. As in looks do most of the talking.
